We are excited to roll out a major update to Island Messenger and the Nook Inc. Island Passport system on GenACNH! This update unifies your resident identity, streamlines passport personalization, and introduces real-time cross-system synchronization across your entire island profile.

🏝️ Authentic Nook Inc. Island Passport

The resident profile modal inside Island Messenger has been upgraded into an authentic Nook Inc. Island Passport that mirrors the iconic in-game Animal Crossing: New Horizons aesthetic:

• Verified Nook Inc. Seal & Passport Number: Each resident now displays their verified Nook Inc. stamp and serial identifier.
• Four-Tile Resident Showcase: Prominently highlights your Island Name, Native Fruit with custom fruit badges (🍎 Apple, 🍒 Cherry, 🍊 Orange, 🍑 Peach, 🍐 Pear), Date of Arrival, and Passport Title.
• Signature Island Motto: Displays your island's unique speech bubble bio and personal catchphrase.
• Pure View-Only Experience: The Nook Inc. Island Passport is now a pristine, distraction-free showcase for other islanders and friends to admire your island credentials.

✨ Centralized Customization via Island Passport

To eliminate duplicate forms and ensure seamless identity management, all profile personalization is now exclusively managed through your primary Island Passport (accessible via the navigation bar):

• Island Name Customization: You can now specify and update your official Island Name directly in your Island Passport settings.
• Native Fruit Selection: Select your island's true native fruit with live icon and badge previews.
• Island Bio & Catchphrase: Update your bio to automatically update your island motto across both systems.
• One-Tap Shortcut: When viewing your own passport in Island Messenger, simply tap "Edit in Island Passport" to instantly open your profile editor.

⚡ Real-Time Two-Way Synchronization

Behind the scenes, our engineering team has re-architected client state management with instantaneous reactivity:

• Zero-Reload Live Updates: Applying changes in your Island Passport instantly broadcasts to your active Island Messenger session, updating your island name, fruit badges, and motto on the fly without refreshing the page.
• Shared Database Architecture: Both systems query and update the same unified resident data columns, guaranteeing consistency across desktop and mobile.
• Optimized Performance: Lightweight DOM reconciliation ensures responsive, zero-latency interactions even during busy trading sessions.
